Mocked this up fairly quickly(hence quality and grammar) and I think I might roll with it.
If I do, I'll be adding more to it, and cleaning it up. It almost looks cramped.

If I do decide to roll with this, I'll update the progress.

I dunno, I'll see.

I like the idea of a sketchbook! Tho I think the icon at the top doesn't really go with the rest. I'd just crop off the top a bit and have the icon on the book, maybe in brown..

Kill the Times, use sans_serif something like Arial or Comic to help the place look like you wrote on it, like a real sketch book. You know, you could animate this in flash, use some XML and make it updatable. :3

No worries about that icon on top, that's just there for now.

Yes, I am gonna keep the colours fairly consistent!

I will be doing it in full CSS with a php/mysql backend to manage everything.

The font used is Georgia, but I'm going to go with something else.

prolly cause of all those messages last month...

It looks really really good! hah you have the same phone as me. If you were to change anything, maybe make that to do list more arty? Like the guitar could stay, but maybe add some kind of read such and such art book, design such and such etc?
Also the welcome/latest news typeface looks blurry, I think it would look great in a sharpie marker style font to work with the design?

Just my thoughts lol. BTW your car illustrations are fab, loving the yellow one

Haha, I love Sony Ericsson, but we don't have great gsm coverage here in Newfoundland.

Yeah, I was thinking about the content on sheet. I will take that into consideration and probably make the fix next time I work on it.

Hrmm, I used the font "crayon" and I added a drop shadow with a distance of 0, kinda for a shadow-ish effect.
I can see how the sharpie marker type would work. I used a comic font for the tabs on the side, so mayhaps I shall try out that font where the headers are!

Heh, the car illustrations were a lot of fun to do! Being the car nerd I am :)

np!! I'm not sure what all the gsm stuff is XD But the phone is pretty good.

Have you heard of DAfont.com, that might have a good font that looks like marker :D
