i am quite confused about this whole thing with the newfoundland flag.

people are all up in arms about getting the old "republic" flag back. first off, why??? and secondly, we werent a republic, but a colony.

all i see now are hippies and mall kids, like, "bring back the republic flag!!! it's hardcore"... and i have yet to hear one good reason other then "it looks better". IT HAS PINK... nothing is exactly cool about pink. it stands for independence... which we signed away when we joined canada. "Free Newfoundland!!!" WHY??? Free newfoundland so we can be completly fucked over? so we can have nothing? GROW UP. we would be screwed without canada.

and i love it when people talk about seperating from canada. that's just fucking hilarious. i had one person say to me that "if we break free, we'll have all out resources to ourselves..." ... come on people, recognize that we'll have nothing if we seperate. yeah, we have tonnes of minerals, oil, and lumber... but how will we refine them exactly? OOO, 2 billions dollars will cover it. 2 billion isnt that much money when it comes down to it, you know.

we dont exactly own hibernia, that's CANADA's, not newfoundlands.


and secondly, LABRADOR, yeah remember them, the other half of newfoundland... what do they think? do they have a say?? although they have their own flag, i am refering to the whole seperation.

this is crazy, and i hope everyone agrees. "the old flag is tacky.." ohh shut up, it represents us as being a PART OF CANADA. taking that away would be going against that. Pratt is a great artist, and i think the flag is a great flag.

when i say i am a newfoundlander, i also say that i am CANADIAN, and proud. when the flags hang from my home, it would be the current newfoundland flag, not the green, white and pink.

meh, nothing going on really. finished college in september. then, i will be a graduated graphic artist. that's pretty cool, i think. hopefully, i can get a decent job to keep me fed and clothed.

like jesus, i was on the mainpage, browsing to see if there was any cool art on the go. so, i hit refresh to see what pops up. every time i hit refresh, there was at least 2 out of 5 pictures drawn in the anime manga style. every picture looked exactly the same. like, does anyone have a unique style anymore. it seems like every pic i've seen when i was browsing was just the plain annoying big eyed crappily drawn inuyasha characters or sailor moon. goddamn, it kinda makes me sad.
